One of our favorite features is the automatic blacklist
feature. When the device recognizes an automated attack
or probe it will automatically blacklist the potential
intruder’s Internet IP address for a fixed amount of
time. This is another major improvement relative to a
conventional firewall. The threats that computers and
servers are subject to without an IPS is rather
frightening after one becomes aware of the contents of
their company's FTP, WWW, and other log files.
