Ok, back to the story...

Leila, John, and I worked in radio and television before coming together to offer Dallas-Fort Worth voice over services as AVAREN.com. Over the years, the three of us have worked in every job imaginable in both radio and television, from board operators as teenagers to on air talent as adults. Although for a while the three of us worked in the same geographic market we never actually worked for the same station or agency. I deeply respected both John and Leila’s work from afar. Now, together as AVAREN, the three of us bring more than 50 years of broadcast experience to bear on any voice over concern.

We continued to move around over the years. Keeping in touch occasionally but never working together as closely again. But then something strange happened. Leila and I were on the phone discussing our various projects and we mentioned the fact that we were both working with others over the internet. I was working with a professional drummer in Nashville and doing it over the internet live. Leila was working with a gentleman in Chicago on another project. Why had we not combined our talents before? After all, the technology existed…

Needless to say the internet began bringing the three of us closer together once more. By the time a few years passed and we had learned the various and necessary new systems, we were working on projects together. That, of course, ultimately brought us together under the AVAREN.com moniker.

How you can instantly transform your company’s telephone persona with a little voice-over & audio production work Dallas-Fort Worth.

SIDE NOTE: One of the reason you hear so much distortion on music-on-hold and other phone-based sources is because the audio file was not EQ’ed so that the phone lines could handle it better. The reality is that phone lines don’t handle either low or high frequencies very well and instead are able to better reproduce the mid-ranged frequencies typical in voice. So, if you want your phone audio to sound better over telephone lines, you need to EQ- out some of the low and high frequency information. This is especially true for Voice-over-IP telephone systems.
